Our Android spy has been busy cell phone tracking and coming up with the answer to the million dollar question: which are the top 5 Android phones available in the market? And after thorough research and factoring in aspects like popularity, features, price, durability, et al, here’s our list of top 5 Android smart phones after exhaustive cell phone tracking.
1. Samsung Galaxy S III
Possibly the biggest selling point of Galaxy S III is that it functions on a multitude of carriers all over the globe. That, and its hardware specs are absolutely top drawer. The Snapdragon S4 processor, a majestic 4.8-inch screen (Super AMOLED HD), the option of 16 or 32 GB storage which can be expanded via microSD card, an awesome 8-mp camera, a strong 2100mAh battery and support for 4G LTE – Galaxy SIII is the all-round package. Add the custom software features of Samsung and the fact that it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and you’ve found yourself a real gem.
2. HTC One X
Possibly the only phone that can rival our list’s topper, considering they both have pretty similar features. It is available on AT&T and Sprint and its design is picturesque. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, a crisp display of 4.7 inches with an HD resolution of 1280×720 to boot, 4G LTE support, 8-mp camera and 16 GBs of storage capacity. It does give the Samsung Galaxy a veritable run for its money.
3. Samsung Galaxy Nexus
The first smart phone to have the 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich, it is also set to be the first one to receive the 4.1 Jelly Bean – what more do you want? At a cent under $150 its affordability is top-drawer, has a dual-core processor of 1.2 GHz, 1GB RAM, 4.65-inch screen (HD Super AMOLED) and an impressive 5-mp camera. Want the latest operating system, this beauty is what you need.
4. Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX
This is the phone with the longest lasting capacity in this list – or in any other list for that matter. It has a gargantuan 3300mAh battery, which is simply the largest battery in the smart phone arena – which values up to 21.5 talk-time hours. It has a 8-mp camera with recording capability of 1080p video, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen that has a 940×540-pixel resolution, supports 4G LTE, has 1GB RAM, decent storage capacity of 16GB, with a dual-core processor of 1.2 GHz as well. It isn’t the most powerful cell phone but it would beat the daylight out of any other smart phone with its battery life.
5. Samsung Galaxy Note
It’s big, huge in fact, and instantaneously connects with the user’s heart – sort of like one’s favorite pet. It has recently received Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and hence Jelly Bean would have to wait a while. Even so, it has unique software couple with S Pen which helps the user out in ‘Draw Something’. And also it has a robust 2,500 mAh battery, a massive 5.3-inch display (HD Super AMOLED to boot), an 8-mp camera, 1280×800-pixel resolution that would make gaming an absolute joy, 4G LTE network support and an excellent 1.5GHz processor. And it gives you 16GB in storage capacity which can be expanded with the microSD card.
