How to Check Mobile Number is Portout or Not
If network is same and the number is not port-out (on original network) e.g 0333-1234567 the call summary will not appear on cell phone display until the call is attended by the intended receiver. On the contrary if the number is port-out e.g 0333-1234567 (port-out to zong) the call summary will appear on cell phone display immediately when the call is dialed.
Their is another way of checking the port-out number, most users sometimes hear a very shrilled tone as their first dial tone after making a call and later the tone becomes smoother. Shrill tone is infect shifting of the network most of the time i observed that in port-out case the user at other receiving end hear tone 5-10 secs after the caller hear its first the tone.
LDI licence issuance to China Mobile: Etisalat threatens to approach arbitration court
ISLAMABAD (August 05 2009): Etisalat International, buyer of the management control through purchase of 26 percent shares in Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), has threatened to approach arbitration court in London if the GoP resorted to issuing Long Distance International (LDI) licence to China Mobile, official sources told Business Recorder.
“Etisalat is contesting the anticipated award of LDI licence to China Mobile as a breach of the Shares Purchase Agreement (SPA) and guarantees given to it,” sources said. Etisalat has already withheld payment of last tranche of about $780 million because according to it the GoP failed to transfer properties in the Punjab and Sindh in favour of PTCL.
