In a meeting with Privitization Minister, the union of PTCL widely appreciated the official decision to handover twelve percent shares of the company to its deserving employees. The first round of the Cabinet’s Ministerial Committee meeting constituted by the Federal Cabinet for examining the matters concerning the Share Purchase Agreement on Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) with M/s Etisalat and auction of 3G Spectrum and LDI licenses held here today. Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom has started investigation regarding delay in execution of national data centre project. Arrangements have also been made to forcefully stop those employees who are willing to appear as witness. Ministry has issued two separate notifications. One notification announces start of investigations regarding delay in the project and whereas according to the second notification a committee has been formed to review the cases of extension in service of employees. The committee will submit its recommendations for extension in service in a few days.
