Nokia 5250 Review

Nokia Mobiles

Nokia has been famously pushing the best possible gadgets in the market, however, with the invention of smartphones, nokia has been on its toes to craft competitive phones to stay in the market. Nokia has been famous in publishing cheaper phones, but lately they have been publishing phones which can certainly be classified as best of the lot, but they are bit pricy, such as Nokia’s upcoming mobile N8 price is relatively very high, it is set to be sold at about 45,000 to 48,000 Pakistan ruppees. N8 could be mighty and hi-fi, but it certainly doesn’t offer what our new gadget 5250 has on table, which is affordability. Read through the review to find out the price :)

Design:

  • The Nokia 5250 comes in a range of body colors that can be changed according to whim.
  • Colors include grey, red, turquoise, white, black and even purple making the phone look trendy as well as hip which is perfect for the younger generation.
  • A square design makes it look sophisticated and professional but with the body color options it s a dead giveaway for a trendy handset.

Audio Experience:

  • The Nokia 5250 is primarily a music phone and most of its features point out towards this fact. The phone comes equipped with a stereo FM radio that allows you to tune in to your favorite radio stations whenever you want.
  • Moreover the media player in the phone supports both MP3 and ACC+ audio format that can be used to play songs at excellent quality sound.
  • The speakers emit great vocals and a clear diverse music experience can be easily achieved. Video formats such as MP4 and H265 can also be played for viewing and this creates an easy platform for listening to songs as well as watching videos on your mobile handset.
  • Listening to music also has various options. These include headsets that can be plugged in the 3.5 mm audio jack.
  • For a wireless experience and the avoiding the hassle of tangling up your headphones, the stereo Bluetooth headphones can be used with minimum fuss.
  • The Nokia Ovi store also holds some special features which can be used. The Ovi store has an unlimited range of music that can be downloaded via internet and more new music can be enjoyed anytime.

Memory & Battery Life:

  • Although the internal memory of the phone is not much at all, a mere 51 MB, the MicroSD card slot that comes along with the phone is what makes it worth a buy.
  • The memory card can store files with maximum space available up till 16 GB. This way all your favorite files, pictures, music, videos and more can be stored with no worries at all.
  • After charging your phone, the Nokia 5250 can play music up to 24 hours at a stretch suggesting a long battery life that will not die on you anytime soon.
  • Moreover with this handset, you can enjoy 7.7 hours of talk time and 460 hours of standby making the battery long lasting and durable.

5250 vs Smartphones:

Although, there is no justification to compare this sweet little candy to the giants of industry, however, we should still see the odds of 5250 against phones which are considered to be the best of the bunch, which can even bring iPhone to shame. These iPhone Alternatives are all stylish and rich in functions, loaded with features and loved by the masses, the masses which can afford to shed some pretty penny, however, while 5250 cannot beat these hi-tech gadgets in performance, yet i would still like to think it has pretty sleek design for its price, it is more usable, cost effective, in reach of millions of people, does the main job efficiently and more importantly, you won’t regret too much if something goes wrong with your phone, such as lost, theft or physical damage as you know it won’t hurt your pocket too much.

Touch Screen & Camera:

  • The Nokia 5250 smart phone comes with a whooping 3.2 inches touch screen which allows good viewing of videos and plenty of space for widgets to be added.
  • The screen supports 65 k colors that allows for vivid images to be displayed on screen and this makes taking pictures even more fun when every picture turns out just great.
  • With a resolution of 640 X 360, 16 million colors can be enjoyed to the maximum.
  • The phone has a 2 mega pixel camera which is not very impressive, however.
  • The Nokia 5250 could have been equipped with a higher MP camera, making it even more worth its price. However, the results of the camera are not as bad and adequate pictures can be taken.

Dimensions & Weight:

  • This handset has been measured at a mere 104 x 49 x 14mm and found to be weighing 104 grams.
  • Although the phone does not support Wi-Fi, high speed data transfer can take place through the Bluetooth feature that is available both for wired and wireless, whichever option that you prefer.

All in all, this phone does lack some features which need to be updated; otherwise it is an affordable entry level smart phone that will surely be a hit with the younger crowd of today.

Price and Conclusion:

Usually nokia rates are relatively low, however, they at time push expensive range of their phones. As far as 5250 is concerned i don’t have too many bad things to say about this phone, apparently phone looks pretty good and you cannot expect much better in this price. It has all the core functions which an average user requires and it does it job pretty well. Phone is said to be priced about 6,000 to 8,000 Pakistan ruppees, however, it is still too early to make loose estimates. You should check the actual price with your local retailers. I would urge our readers to give your honest feed back on this phone and let us know about any Cons of this gadget.
