The back camera of 8MP has been retained as iPhone 4 with an improvement in the low light performance. Moreover, the photo capture has also been improved by 40% faster than iPhone 4S. The camera app is available with 1.2 MP high resolutions. The battery is inbuilt and will not be replaced by the users. The nano SIM has been introduced on this phone in place of the micro-SIM in case of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 5 also features a new dock connector which is known as lightening. It has also replaced 30-pin Apple dock connector which was introduced in the year 2003. This connector has all digital signaling and has 8 pins. It is smaller than the previous models and this is the reason why iPhone 5 is slimmer than iPhone 4S.
