Telenor recently launched a service called ‘Money Transfer’ under the banner of Easy Paisa, through which any Pakistani citizen can transfer Money across the country through 4,000 outlets. This is the phase 2 of the easy paise in phase one they have launched utility bill payment service.

Tameer Microfinance Bank and Telenor Pakistan have announced launch of Money Transfer, said a statement issued by Telenor. Money Trasnfer is going to be the second in a suite of products being offered under easypaisa. The service would be available for all customers, even if they don’t have Telenor connections. Original ID card and photocopies are termed must have things for carrying transaction (either for depositing or withdrawing money).

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has not authorized Tameer Microfinance Bank along with Telenor to collect electricity bills from its customers through easypaisa shops, LESCO spokesman said that the advertisement given in electronic and print media by Microfinance Bank and Telenor regarding utility bills are not clear and baseless, "No agreement between. LESCO and above-mentioned bank has been executed for collection of electricity bills through easypaisa shops, he added.
