Battery Issues In iPhone 4S Are Not Due To Any Hardware Fault

As we all know that, after the release of Apple’s latest iPhone build this year, users have been complaining about battery issues in the device. And the complaints are still coming, and Apple also rolled out an update in response which was supposed to solve these issues but it seems like the update failed and users are still facing quick battery draining problems.

Many users and developers were calling the faulty hardware of the device to be the reason behind these battery issues but it seems like its not true. As many reports are coming which show that iPhone 4S has some software bug or configuration settings issues which cause the battery drainage issue.

ZDNet posted a report recently, which is based on a research. The guys at ZDNet conducted a test by providing an app developer with two iPhone 4S units and both devices were bought at the same time, both had the same latest iOS version and were running on the same network. So, as we can see that both devices should have same battery timing as well, but it wasn’t, as results showed that one of the devices were draining the battery faster than the other one.

The developer was using one of the device for his day to day use and another one to test apps, so, both devices also had different configuration settings as well. Now, the day to day usage device showed the lower battery life while the other one was working fine. So, this is how the developer concluded the whole results. The developer backed up both devices, reset them and then restored them back with the different backup. So, when he used both devices, it was surprising to see that the device which was working fine previously had the battery draining very quickly and the device with the problems previously was working fine.

Well, all I could figure out by this was the iPhone 4S’ hardware is just fine, the problem is somewhere in the software and the config settings. So, just like millions of other iPhone 4S owners we appeal Apple to fix these issues and release the next iOS update.
