The government in principle has decided to give SMS and MMS legal cover in matters pertaining to courts BBC quoted Rehman Malik as saying various countries in the world have given legal status to pictures and SMS text message in a court of law. Preparations are underway to repeal the law in this regard so that if a video clue or SMS message proves beneficial in finding out the culprit, it should be duly accepted by any court of law.
