Earlier it is reported that Punjab Government Order to Shift Mobile Tower on Solar Power but now today an ad appeared in the newspaper form ministery of environment saying that the telcom operators as a CRS Responsibility shift to Solar also the ad shows that the deadline to shift solar power is extended till the further notice.

The new deadline has not been given by the center but it has been under review by the officials and likely to be set with the consultation of the telecom companies and other stakeholders operating in the upcoming months.

The decision has been made on the review recommendation by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) recently following it was approached collectively by cellular operators, seeking its intervention to stop the aggressive move of Enercon and Department of Irrigation and Power Punjab.
