The highly placed sources both at Prime Minister Secretariat and PTA have confirmed that a correspondence between the two institutions have taken place in which PTA has sought permission of formulating regulations to block any website. In the aforementioned summary the PTA has discussed the procedures to be followed for deciding the ban on any website and the execution process involved in it. PTA has recommended a centralized Filtration solution instead of asking ISPs to block sites, every now and then.

A source in PTA revealed high ups in the authority were increasingly getting perturbed following court orders to block offensive or anti-Islamic websites. It PTA has recommended to increase the members of inter-ministerial committee to include operators and industry experts to better decide on the fate of internet and its censorship in the country.
