Mobile users in country’s thriving telecom industry are becoming increasingly jittery as they are being deprived of daily amounts out of their mobile phone budget, sometimes totaling in triple figures by fraudsters in tacit connivance with IT personnel working in cellular industry.

As per shocking details poured in here, short text messages are sent randomly to various users on pretext of phone friendship, common features or some lucrative business deals The message ends after making request to send a text message (SMS) or making a telephone call to the given number. The imposters often use pseudo female names in a bid to encourage majority male users to call them. Once a call is made or a text message (SMS) is sent forty or fifty rupees are instantly deducted from the account of the client. Public circles have shown their grave concern on the issue and requested relevant authorities for a swift action to stopping this heinous practice.
