The Prime Minister has constituted a three member Ministers Committee to amicably resolve Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL)’s outstanding issues. Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan Federal Minister for Privatisation informed a high level delegation led by Mr. Hasan Omran, Chairman Etisalat, UAE during a meeting here today.
The Committee comprises Federal Ministers for Privatisation, Petroleum & Natural Resources and Information & Broadcasting. The Committee will hold meetings with the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Sindh Provinces and others to settle the remaining land issues and will report back to the Prime Minister within a month.
The high level delegation led by Mr. Hasan Omran, Chairman Etisalat, UAE included Mr. Adbur Rahim Alnooryani, President Etisalat Pakistan, Mr. Walid Irshad President PTCL and the UAE envoy to Pakistan.
Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan Federal Minister for Privatisation assured the delegation that by taking amicable resolution to the outstanding issues, which would be beneficial for both sides and to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries, we would move forward in a positive way. The Government of Pakistan was determined to proceed further in this matter in a transparent, professional and cooperative manner, he said.
