“Microsoft Academic Festival” in Bahria University Karachi

Microsoft Pakistan is planning to organize Microsoft Academic Festival at Bahria University, Karachi on Saturday 14th of November, 2009 from 03:45pm to 08:00pm. Its objective is to provide an opportunity to students and academicians to interact directly with Microsoft and get an insight on its programs and initiatives.

The Imagine Cup is one way Microsoft is encouraging young people to apply their imagination, their passion and their creativity to technology innovations that can make a difference in the world today. Now in its eighth year, the Imagine Cup has grown to be a truly global competition focused on finding solutions to real world issues.

After the launch, there is another exclusive get-together Microsoft Faculty Meet 2009. The Faculty Meet 2009 will be a gathering of about 150-200 faculty members, IT faculty professionals and academicians from institutions throughout the region for an intense half-day learning get-together, setting the stage for greater developments in the teaching and learning arena. The Faculty Meet 2009 will bring together experts to share the latest in Microsoft academic programs and initiatives, curriculum and technology innovations, regional networking opportunities and the sharing of best practices on strategies to empower a transformation within the higher education sphere.
